
GREGORY KHATIN
Born in 1947 in Leningrad (St.Petersburg).
In 1969, after mandatory army service, enrolled in city Polytechnic institute. There he worked in a photo lab and completed technical photo shoots.
In 1974 began working in an art restoration laboratory. Here Khatin photographed art objects, from jewelry and portrait miniatures to architecture and monumental paintings. He captured graphics, materials, costumes, sculpture, furniture, clocks and more.
In 1978 Khatin began collaborating with publishing houses: "Aurora", "Russian Painter", "Iskusstvo", "Musika", "Lenizdat", "Slavia", "R-2", etc.
Khatin participated in preparation of more than 50 art albums and books in Russia, which were exhibited on various book expos in Moscow, Frankfurt-on-Maine and so on.
Was a member of the St.Petersburg Creative Union of Painters.
Since 2000, Khatin lives in Israel, in Jerusalem. Over this time he collaborated in preparation of over 26 art albums and books.
