Ekaterina Volkova (b. 1996), also known as Volchsur, is a contemporary surrealist artist currently based in Germany, where she has been living since February 2024.
Her work reinterprets surrealism through a deeply personal lens, transforming contemporary reality into symbolic and layered visual narratives. Entirely self-taught, she has developed her artistic language independently, free from academic frameworks and conventional structures.
Volchsur’s paintings are not merely visual compositions but immersive experiences. The longer the viewer engages with them, the more they unfold — revealing hidden meanings and evoking emotional resonance.
Her practice explores inner states, subtle energies, and the invisible dimensions of existence. Each work invites the viewer beyond decoration into a space of reflection and connection.
Positioned between reality and imagination, her art resonates with collectors seeking depth, symbolism, and presence — works that become both a visual and emotional focal point.
